By using an exercise band
Attach an exercise band securely to a doorknob, or wrap it around a pillar. With one hand on either end, extend your arms in front of you, keeping the band taut. Drive your elbows back and pull your hands to your hips squeezing your shoulder blades together, then return to the start position. Keep your legs and torso still.
The shrugging exercise
To tone your shoulder muscles, stand with your feet hip width apart and your knees soft. Holding either a barbell (in which case your arms should be shoulder width apart) or a dumbbell in each hand, begin with your arms straight down in front of you and, keeping your arms straight, lift the barbell or dumbbells up by shrugging your shoulders. Do at least 12 repetitions, say the instructors at gyms in Gurgaon and Delhi.
The lying down exercise
Lie face down with your legs straight and arms overhead; draw your belly button toward your spine to tighten your abs. Contract your glutes (the large skeletal muscles which form the buttocks and help in movement of the thighs), then slowly raise your head, chest, arms, and legs off the floor. Hold this pose for five seconds, and then lower to start.
